Terms of Engagement

These terms govern quotes generated on this site and any resulting engagement with Maigic Pty Ltd (“Maigic Guild”, “we”, “us”). By requesting a quote or paying a deposit you agree to them.

Instant quotes

Quotes generated by our AI scoping tool are an automated, good-faith estimate based solely on the information you provide. They are indicative until confirmed by a member of our team. We may adjust a quote after a human scope review, for example if the requirements are materially different from, or more complex than, what was described.

Deposits

• A deposit (by default 20% of the quoted price) secures a build slot and lets us begin work.
• Your deposit is fully refundable if our human scope review materially changes the quoted price or scope and you choose not to proceed on the revised terms.
• Once work has commenced on agreed terms, the deposit is applied to your first invoice and is non-refundable except as required by Australian Consumer Law.

Pricing and GST

All prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) and are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. GST of 10% is added at checkout and itemised on your tax invoice. Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote (14 days by default).

Scope, deliverables and timelines

The scope, deliverables, assumptions and exclusions listed on your quote define the work. Anything not listed is out of scope and may be quoted separately. Timelines are estimates and depend on timely feedback and access from you.

Intellectual property

On full payment, ownership of the delivered software and its source code transfers to you, excluding third-party components and our pre-existing tools and libraries, which are licensed to you for use within the delivered work.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to that, our liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the engagement giving rise to the claim.
